My CENTRE Life: New installment

RELEASED: Oct. 27, 2005

DANVILLE, KY—Homecoming weekend festivities, midterms, fall break and the dreaded kissing disease all play their part in the fourth journal entries for "My CENTRE Life: The Freshman Year," which goes up today.

The story so far: six Centre freshmen—Erica, Adam, Caitlin, Clayton, Erin and Taylor—write about adjusting to life away from home, parents and friends, and of getting used to introductions, managing their own time, attending classes and doing their own laundry. Each entry is documented with tons of pictures.

A few details from this week's entries:

  • One of the Centre six is "down with disease."
  • Another feels like "a person with two homes."
  • One spent "the best holiday of the year" visiting friends at Notre Dame.
  • In the last two weeks, between midterms, homecoming and a trip to San Antonio, another has had some of his most fun and least fun at Centre.
  • One lists Homecoming as "the best night yet to come in my crazy Centre adventure."
  • Another found time during fall break to spend with his girlfriend, whose school was on a "Hurricane Wilma Break."

Will the disease be cured? What was it like spending time away from Centre at another school? Will Homecoming weekend be topped? Will mid-term grades bring celebration or lamentation?
