What will you miss most about Centre?
I'll miss the ability to have all of my closest friends within a two-minute radius. I know that if I have a bad day, they're right here and if I have a good day, they're ready if I want to go celebrate.

What is your favorite Centre memory?
Some of my favorite Centre memories have been the spontaneous get-togethers with my sorority sisters. Most of the time it's the little events that get you through the stressful times of college.

What did you do over Spring Break?
I went home and spent time with my 5-year-old brother, Noah, and the rest of my family. He helps me keep things in perspective and have fun when I get stressed out with school.

I understand you're working with history professor Clarence Wyatt this year; what are you working on?
I'm helping with Centre's re-accreditation process. The process of getting our accreditation privileges renewed is called reaffirmation, and this happens every 10 years. Centre has to continue to be recognized as a certified collegiate institution so that students can continue to receive financial aid. We're showing and proving that Centre has goals that we're working toward to become a better college. Centre is working toward re-accreditation via the Commission on Colleges, SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools).

Quotable:
Life in the Centre bubble is very far from reality, but the things that you learn as a Centre student, such as persistence, developing a strong work ethic, and self-confidence will all be helpful and will develop you as a stronger person when you get out into the real world.

What others say about Crystal:
"Over the past several years, I've had the privilege of working with Crystal Mounce in the Student Life Office, supervising her as an R.A., and working with her for the Governor's Scholars Program," says Sarah Scott Hall, director of residence life and counseling. "Not only is Crystal responsible, mature, organized, and very intelligent, she has just been a joy to work with! I cannot speak more highly of a Centre student."
