Application deadline for class entering fall 2006 is fast approaching
RELEASED: Dec. 22, 2005
DANVILLE, KY -- The deadline is fast approaching. Prospective students who want to become members of the Centre College class of 2010 must have their applications completed and postmarked by Feb. 1.
Seniors can complete the two-part paper application and submit by mail, or can apply online (with no fee). Centre also accepts the Common Application.
The window to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is from Jan. 1 to March 1. See our financial aid page for more information. More than 80 percent of Centre students receive financial assistance: nearly 60 percent receive need-based financial aid, and more than half receive merit-based scholarships.
Timely applicants will receive admission decisions by March 15, with scholarship and aid notification following in late March.
This year Centre expects to receive more than 2,000 applications for a freshman class of approximately 300 students. High school juniors interested in attending the College should mark Feb. 25 and April 1 on their calendars. Centre holds Junior Day Open Houses on those dates. Prospective students and their parents can tour the campus and attend informative sessions about choosing a college, the application process, financing a Centre education, and a day in the life of a college student.
A U.S. News top 50 national liberal arts college, Centre has Kentucky's highest graduation rate: around 80 percent of students graduate four years after entering.
For more information on Junior Day, call (800) 423-6236 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org . Students can register online at http://centre.admissionslab.com/events/eventcalendar.aspx.
