Coming soon, a new year of My CENTRE Life!

RELEASED: September 7, 2006

DANVILLE, KY—What's it like to be a freshman at Centre College?

You could enroll and see what it’s like firsthand, or you can take a more detached approach
and read the six candid and wide-ranging web journals that will be posted frequently on Centre’s web site.

Starting the last week of September, curious minds can find out what it's like to move away from home,
make new friends, and experience the challenges, excitement, highs and lows of the first year of
college life—all with the click of a mouse.

My Centre Life: The Freshman Year will be a year-long series of blogs or Web logs (with lots of photos and some video)
written by a diverse group of six freshmen. These regular postings will give readers an insider’s view of the fun, difficulties,
and surprises of the freshman year from six unique perspectives. This is the second year for the extremely popular feature.

The identities of the six incoming freshman are currently a closely guarded secret (sort of), so each can ease into the
sometimes challenging first month on campus. But beginning with the first posting, their Web logs will provide a vivid
glimpse into six very different student lives.

The student journalists will write about sunny days and Saturday nights as well as rainy days and Monday mornings.
They'll also include pictures of the experience from day one, beginning at home before they headed out for Centre.
Readers will have a chance to see these Centre freshmen in their hometowns and meet their friends and family.
As the college experience unfolds, the journalists will write about their classes and life on campus and off—
weekend road trips, holidays at home, spring break, challenges, and new friends.

Watch this space for previews, and get ready for the second edition of My CENTRE Life!
