Centre/Harvard upset on ESPN: the date approaches
|

|
ESPN will pay tribute to the "Praying Colonels" by featuring the victory over Harvard as part of "Who's No. 1? Biggest College Football Upsets," a show currently scheduled to air Aug. 28 at 10 p.m. E.S.T. on ESPN Classic. (Check local listings to confirm exact time.) In the online polling, the "Praying Colonels" victory over a Crimson team that was undefeated in five years is currently pulling in 35.5 percent of votes, up from 28.3 percent in early August. Centre's tally remains second only to Kansas State's 2003 upset of Oklahoma, which is pulling in a whopping 59.7 percent. No other upset has received more than 3.5 percent of the votes. Centre fans are still capable of changing the result. Go to the poll by following this link. You will be asked to vote for five games as "greatest upsets," but you have the option of voting for as many, or as few, as you like. Obviously, if you vote for the Centre upset and none of the others, Centre will advance further. For more on the Who's No. 1 series, go here.
