Centre gets glowing review from college counseling service

DANVILLE, KY—A recent newsletter from College Wise, a college counseling services with offices in Los Angeles and New York, features Centre College in its "College Spotlight," noting the appeal of the Centre Commitment as well as the spirit of students and alumni.
The 500-word review sums up Centre as "a school that will challenge you intellectually but also give you opportunities to build your professional resume through an extensive internship program."
"Centre’s confidence doesn’t stop with [the Centre commitment]," the review states. "A lot of colleges claim to have nice dorms. Centre puts pictures of them on the web so you can check them out for yourself…. A lot of colleges claim they can help you get jobs someday. Centre assigns you your own career counselor who helps you develop a step-by-step career plan (“Centre Futures”). A lot of colleges claim to have strong alumni support. Centre has led the nation in the percentage of alumni who make contributions to their college ... for most of the last two decades."
The Collegewise Web site says the counseling service, founded in 1999, helps more than 500 students find, apply to, and get accepted to the right colleges each year.
