Prospective students and families invited to campus for Diversity Days

RELEASED: Feb. 9, 2006

DANVILLE, KY -- The faculty, staff and Diversity Student Union of Centre College invite prospective students and their families to explore the campus community during Diversity Days on Feb 17-18. The College welcomes high school students who have indicated an interest in diversity issues, as well as students who identify themselves as minorities.

For the second time, Diversity Days will expand to become Diversity Week, six days of entertainment, discussion and diversity-based activities. The change will complement and build upon the success of the Admission Office's weekend event for prospective students.

Diversity Days is designed for prospective students to learn more about Centre's community. The weekend is an opportunity to spend time in the role of a Centre student, learning, participating and contributing with peers.

Students will have the chance to tour the campus, sit in on a class and meet with an admission counselor and representatives from career services, the faculty and community service. As part of their overnight visit, students will have free time to spend time with Centre students, work out at Sutcliffe and hang out at the Hub.
