Prospective students invited to campus January 14-15

RELEASED: Dec. 14, 2006

DANVILLE, KY—Centre will host a Leadership, Service and Diversity Open House on campus Jan. 14-15. The College welcomes all prospective students who identify themselves as leaders, service volunteers and minorities to the Danville campus for an enhanced visit.

"The program is designed to introduce prospective students to some of the resources on campus and give them a chance to chat with current students who are involved with various leadership and diversity issues," says Ned Frazer, assistant director of admission.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about exciting academic, co-curricular and study-abroad possibilities that distinguish Centre. They will have the chance to hear from Dr. Raymond Burse, Centre alumnus, Rhodes scholar and former President of Kentucky State University; observe classes; and chat with professors and advisors. Students may also tour campus, meet Centre President John Roush, visit with an admission counselor, learn about scholarship and financial aid, stay in the residence halls and interact with current students.

Those who are able are encouraged to attend the Martin Luther King, Jr. convocation on Monday evening.

For more information on the open house, contact the Centre College Admission Office at (800) 423-6236 or e-mail admission@centre.edu. You may also register online at http://www.centre.edu/web/admission/diversity/diversitydays_invite.html.
