Family Weekend a success

DANVILLE, KY—Parents, siblings, and favorite aunts were welcomed to campus this past weekend, Oct. 6 & 7, for the annual Centre Parents Association’s Family Weekend. This special event welcomes families to campus, and is a wonderful opportunity for them to experience Centre and to share time with their student.

“The campus community was pleased to welcome hundreds of parents, younger siblings and grandparents to Centre this past weekend for our annual observance of Family Weekend,” said Richard Trollinger, vice president for college relations.

“Although a little rain fell on Saturday afternoon, nothing could have dampened the spirits of students eager to see their loved ones, or the spirits of those who came to spend the weekend with their students. Some parents attended showcase classes to get a taste of the academic experience their sons and daughters are having at Centre. Drama and music groups also performed as did our sports teams. All in all, it was a typically happy occasion in the life of the College.”
