Alabama businessman, alum newest Centre trustee

DANVILLE, KY—Kenneth J. Mardick '66 of Birmingham, Ala., joined the Centre Board of Trustees in July. He is currently involved with two metal businesses, as a partner in Powercom Services of Atlanta and as executive vice president of M3 Resources, a new company that started in November. He recently retired as president of Mayco Industries, which makes industrial lead products.

"The College is excited to have Mr. Mardick as a member of the Board," says President John Roush. "As an alumnus and experienced businessman, he will be extremely influential in the advancement of the institution."

An economics major at Centre, Mardick was chair of a regional campaign for the College's successful Front & Centre capital campaign in the 1990s and has been an active alumnus in the Birmingham area for many years. He has also served on the Alumni Board. An avid golfer, he returns to the College each year for the annual Praying Colonels Golf Tournament. He is also a pilot.
