President Roush to do in-depth interview on
Kentucky Educational Television's One to One
RELEASED: January 4, 2007
DANVILLE, KY—Centre College president John Roush will appear as Bill Goodman's guest on the next edition of One to One, a KET (Kentucky Educational Television) production produced by Goodman and Cindy Asher. The episode airs Friday, Jan. 12 at 10 p.m. EST on KET2 and Sunday, Jan. 14 at 2 p.m. EST on KET1.
Roush took office in 1998 as the 20th president of Centre, where he has overseen the creation of 15 new endowed professorships. He was instrumental in the creation of the Centre Scholars Program to honor outstanding work at the junior faculty rank and completed a $24 million expansion and renovation of Crounse Hall, the college's primary academic space and library, and Sutcliffe Hall, the fitness and recreation facility at Centre. Roush has also been active in the Campaign for A More Perfect Centre, a $120 million capital campaign focused on endowment for student financial aid and scholarships and academic program enhancements; and, most recently, initiated an institutional planning process that holds the promise of setting a new standard for national liberal arts colleges.
One to One features extended interviews with a variety of interesting people. Guests are drawn from a wide range of fields, and conversations cover an enormous array of topics. While many noteworthy Kentuckians are featured, Goodman also talks with visitors from around the world.
As host of Kentucky Tonight, bookclub@ket, and KET election coverage, Bill Goodman has built a reputation as a skilled and even-handed moderator. One to One represents an opportunity for more relaxed, in-depth conversations with a variety of guests.
Following the broadcast, One to One is available for on-demand videostream viewing at www.ket.org/publicaffairs/onetoone.htm and podcasting at www.ket.org/rss.
