CentreLink: New online community keeps alumni connectedRELEASED: March 22, 2007
Alumni can search an online directory of Centre alumni, register for Homecoming and other special events, make gifts to the College, post and read class news, use message boards to talk with other alumni, set up a forwarding lifetime email address, and much more. Through the online directory, alumni can search for other fellow alumni in a password-protected environment. Not only can users search by name, class year, address, education and much more, but also they can customize their information for friends and post a personal photograph. Event registration allows members to sign up for area events and Homecoming quickly and easily. This feature also allows alumni to view a list of current registrants for each event and explore photo albums from past events. With the click of a button, alumni can support Centre by making an online credit card gift that's quick, easy and secure. Alumni also have the opportunity to share their most recent news of marriage, births, adoptions, job changes or anything else they would like their classmates to know about. Finally, every Centre alumnus has been issued a personalized email address. If users wish to activate this feature, all they have to do is provide the Alumni Office with the email address to which they want their email forwarded. CentreLink helps to make the ties that connect Centre alumni with each other and to the College even stronger.
