Two tons ahead: Centre brings recycling awareness to campusRELEASED: April 12, 2007
In an effort to help bring recycling awareness to campus, the College will present an exhibit explaining how it might assist the larger community in treating the Earth more kindly. Examples of ways, both large and small, that the campus can help will be on display. Everyone who comes by will be entered in a drawing for an assortment of prizes, including gift certificates to local restaurants. "We're very excited about this event and the awareness it will bring to the campus community," says Cheryl Coulter, Centre recycling coordinator. "With more and more students, faculty and staff aware of how their contributions help the larger community, we hope to continue to increase the amount of trash recycled." Already, Centre is two tons ahead of where they were last year in regard to the amount of trash recycled on campus. For more information on this event and Centre Recycling, contact Cheryl Coulter at cheryl.coulter@centre.edu or (859) 238-5923.
