Centre hosts summer sports campsRELEASED: May 24, 2007
DANVILLE, KY—As is traditional at Centre, several College coaches are directing sports camps this summer. They include boy's soccer, girl's soccer, swimming, baseball, boy's basketball, girl's basketball, and volleyball. Boys' Soccer Camp: The 18th annual boy's soccer camp, for ages 14-18, will take place on Centre's campus July 10-14. The College will also offer a junior camp for ages 9-13 for commuters only on June 4-7. Girl's Soccer Camp: A girl's soccer camp led by Centre women's soccer coach Jay Hoffman will be held at Centre June 17-21. The 10th annual camp is for ages 10-18. For more information, visit the girl's soccer camp website or contact Hoffman at (859) 238-5554. Swim Camp: The 2007 Colonel swim camp will be held June 24-28 at Boles Natatorium at Centre. This is the fourth annual swim camp at Centre and will be led by Centre swim coaches Dean Brownley and Sarah Holman. All campers must be nine years old by the first day of camp. Baseball Camp: The second annual Centre baseball camp, led by Centre baseball coach Michael Pritchard, will be held June 11-14 for ages 6-15. A high school team camp will be held June 11-13. The College will host a commuter day camp June 25-28 (ages 6-10) and July 23-26 (11 and older). For more details, contact Mason at (859) 238-5491. Girl's Basketball: Wendie Austin-Robinson, Centre's women's basketball coach, will lead a girl's basketball camp July 16-19. Volleyball: Centre's volleyball camp will be held June 14-17. The camp is led by James Neyhouse, Centre volleyball coach, and is for students entering 7th through 12th grades.
