A search for the "Coolest Picture of the Summer" continues

RELEASED: June 14, 2007

DANVILLE, KY—How do Centre College students spend the summer? Some conduct research at the nation's top universities, including Harvard, Stanford and Johns Hopkins. Others head off to internships in locations ranging from China to Mexico, New Zealand to New York City. Some take on community service gigs. And of course, others take advantage of summer vacation for pleasure travel.

With all that going on, the Communications Office wants to see the pictures.

Centre students (and new incoming and transfer students) are invited to submit their photos for the "Coolest Picture of the Summer" contest. The contestant who captures the true essence of summer will receive an iPod Shuffle.

We're looking for ingenious, creative and resourceful pictures. Play with the gorillas during your internship, jam with your favorite band in concert, hike in the great outdoors, explore the nation's landmarks. Use your imaginations!

Send your digital pictures via e-mail to Cindy Long at long@centre.edu. Be sure to identify everyone in the picture and include a brief description of what's happening. Make sure your pictures are at least 300 dpi. (The higher the resolution the better.)

Top selections will be shown as photos of the week all summer long, and all pictures will be entered in the photo of the year contest for a free digital camera later in the year. Happy clicking!
