Summer an excellent time to visit

RELEASED: May 21, 2007

DANVILLE, KY—Prospective students wanting to learn more about Centre College and the college admission process are invited to explore the campus this summer. The campus visit is the most important part of the college selection process and summer provides the opportunity for an unhurried look at Centre.

During the visit, prospective students and their families will have the chance to take a tour led by one of Centre's current students and visit with an admission counselor. By calling in advance, they can also schedule a meeting with a faculty member from a specific program, a coach, or a staff contact person for a particular interest (career services, diversity programs, or volunteer and leadership programs, for instance).

"Campus tours lead by Centre students are a great way to experience the campus," says summer admission office intern Jeanne Macksoud '08 of Basking Ridge, N.J. "Student guides offer their own unique perspective of the College to potential students and their families. I know my tour guide at Centre played a big part in my decision to come here.

He made me feel welcome and convinced me that I could really be a part of the Centre community."

Summer is the perfect time for prospective students and their families to come and get a preview of Centre's campus. By calling the admission office's toll free number (800-423-6236), writing them an email (admission@centre.edu) or going online, students can schedule a visit.
