Get to know Centre's newest admission counselors

DANVILLE, KYAt the beginning of the fall term, two new admission counselors and a new welcome center coordinator joined the admission team at Centre College.

Centre's two newest admission counselors are Ali Hamilton and Dawn Brown-Piatt. Ali, a member of Centre's Class of 2008, graduated with a bachelor's degree in English. She was actively involved in the life of the campus and won the Cantrell Poetry prize in 2008.
 
Dawn, a member of Centre's Class of 2004, graduated with a bachelor's degree in anthropology/sociology and English. She earned a master's in English from Wake Forest University. Before coming into her current position in the admission office, she taught writing at Jefferson Community and Technical College in Louisville.

Centre's new welcome center coordinator is Shanna Heath. Shanna earned a master's degree in education from the University of Maryland and a bachelor's degree from Georgetown College. Shanna is married to Jeff Heath, Centre assistant professor of mathematics.
