'Neuf is Enough exhibit showcases senior artists

DANVILLE, KYCentre College senior art majors will present an art exhibit titled 'Neuf is Enough from May 7-18 at the Aegon Gallery in the Jones Visual Arts Center on campus. A public reception for the artists will be held on May 11 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The exhibit will also be open on Sunday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The nine exhibiting artists and their media are: Stephen Finney and Christy Winrich (ceramic); Larissa Jursich, Elijah Leed, Pat Ley and Marc Waldner (glass); Caitlin Harper, Louisa Kleinert and Katie Webster (painting).

"This show will be very exciting. We have a talented group of young artists working with wide variety of subject matter and media," says Sheldon Tapley, H.W. Stodghill Jr. and Adele H. Stodghill Professor of Art and chair of the art department.

Centre's Art Program offers instruction in both studio practice and art history, with major and minor concentrations available in both areas. Media taught include drawing, oil painting, printmaking, ceramics and hot glass. Neuf is Enough is the culmination of the art majors' work.
