“A Night of Caroling”

RELEASED: December 25, 2008

For more than 30 years, Centre College faculty and staff have been caroling to students across campus as the first term draws to an end. They go from dorm to dorm, singing Christmas and other holiday songs. The faculty and staff have a tradition of meeting at the Dean’s home and warming up with a couple of songs before heading out to Hillside Houses, the on campus apartments. They move through campus being careful not to leave any dorm out and ending in Crounse Hall, where students are studying. This event takes place during finals week and gives the students a lift to their spirits. Faculty and staff caroling brings lots of smiles and holiday cheer and is another expression of the College’s commitment to personal education.

Centre photographer Chris Floyd documented the caroling. To experience the sights and sounds of the faculty and staff caroling, click here.
