Second annual Counselor of the Year winners announced RELEASED: September 18, 2008 What makes this award particularly noteworthy is the heartfelt nominations from students whose lives these counselors have impacted. Kline's nomination by Caroline Curry '12 of Jackson, Ky., reflects the counselor's professionalism and genuine desire to do her best for her students. "Her manner of constant availability, wise words, experience and a true interest in a student's future and happiness at the school of their choice was of paramount importance to her," Curry wrote. "Absolutely nothing got in the way of her desire to help you find the best school, best aid and best fit possible for you."
"Randy Mills has been not only my college counselor through the majority of my high school years, but he has become my great mentor and friend," Simon said in her nomination. "A true ace-in-the-pocket, it's impossible to feel uncomfortable around Mr. Mills.
