Three student life staff members promoted to associate deans

DANVILLE, KYThree members of Centre College's Office of Student Life staff recently were promoted to the position of associate dean.
 
"Sarah, Patrick and Megan are dedicated to making the Centre student experience the best it can be," says Randy Hays, vice president and dean of student life. "The College looks forward to their continuing contributions to the campus community in the coming years."

Sarah Scott Hall, director of residence life/coordinator of health and counseling services, is now associate dean and director of residence life. Hall, a 1993 Centre graduate, joined the student life staff in 2001. Prior to that, she was the director of counseling and health services for four years at Georgetown College. Hall worked at Centre as co-director of Greek life and student activities in 1993-1994. She received her master's degree in counseling psychology in 1997 from the University of Kentucky. Hall works directly with a staff of 57 residence directors and resident assistants.
 

Patrick Noltemeyer, director of volunteer service and Bonner Program coordinator, is now associate dean and director of community service and the Bonner Program.Noltemeyer, a 2001 Centre graduate, joined the student life staff in 2003 to advise the College's nine inter/national fraternities and sororities. In spring of 2005, he accepted the position of director of volunteer service and Bonner Program coordinator. Noltemeyer completed his master's degree in higher education from the University of Kentucky. Prior to returning to Centre, Patrick served as a graduate assistant to Greek life at Georgetown College, a hall director at the University of Kentucky, and the director of scholars for the Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program. Patrick is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Louisville.

Megan O'Brien, director of campus activities, is now associate dean and director of campus activities. O'Brien joined the student life staff in 2004 to advise the Student Government Association, Student Activities Council, coordinate campus events, and manage the Combs Activity Center. Her duties include coordinating educational programming and supporting student organizations. O'Brien is originally from Atlanta and graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina and completed her master's degree in higher education administration at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Prior to working at Centre, O'Brien served as the director of orientation/assistant director for admissions and a hall director at Texas Tech University, and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Louisville.
