Centre receives grand prize for video

RELEASED: December 18, 2008

DANVILLE, KYAdam Brown '07, communications fellow, has been recognized as a CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Kentucky 2008 Grand Award winner for Electronic Communications. His video entry was part of a YouTube giving campaign to solicit donations from young alumni. Titled "Show Me The Money," the video was produced to be the final push in garnering a 61 percent participation rate in alumni giving for the fiscal year, ensuring a gift of $610,000 from an anonymous alum. (This effort proved to be successful.)

Mike Norris, Centre communications director, says, "Adam brings an excellent combination of talent and enthusiasm to his work. The 'Show Me The Money' video has received positive attention from around the country for its confident touch, creativity and laugh-out-loud humor."

Brown says, "Of course it's an honor. But you have to give credit where credit is due, and the success of this particular project would have fallen flat without the wonderful performances from the actors who participated."

Brown has repeatedly collaborated with Centre President John Roush and other Centre faculty and staff members to produce videos that show a lighter side of Centre while conveying a very real message about the College to both prospective students and alumni. Most recently, Brown produced a tongue-in-cheek holiday special for young alumni, which can be seen here.
