DANVILLE, KY— Centre College has been honored for several creative publications.

The Lexington Advertising Club, the professional organization of advertising agencies and graphic design firms for this region of the United States, which includes portions of Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia, recently held their ADDY Awards competition to honor the best examples of graphic design. Centre was represented by the work of Dana Bart, graphic designer for the College's Norton Center for the Arts.

The Norton Center "Season Brochure" won the Judges Choice ADDY Award and the Gold ADDY Award; the Centre College English Program "Shakespeare Poster" won the Silver ADDY Award; and the Centre College Office of Development "Annual Donor Report" won the Bronze ADDY Award.

In addition, Tom Sturgeon of the Communications Office was recently honored for designing the introductory brochure (an admission publication), with a merit award from Admissions Marketing Report.

Also, Adam Brown '07, communications fellow, was recently recognized as a CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Kentucky 2008 Grand Award winner for Electronic Communications. His video entry was part of a YouTube giving campaign to solicit donations from young alumni. Titled "Show Me The Money," the video was produced to be the final push in garnering a 61 percent participation rate in alumni giving for the fiscal year, ensuring a gift of $610,000 from an anonymous alum.
