Alumni office counts down Top 10 Centre moments of the decade
RELEASED: December 24, 2009
DANVILLE, KY—The Centre College alumni office is counting down the unofficial Top 10 Centre moments of the last decade. It's a nostalgic bit of fun for Centre alumni, students and friends as 2009 winds down and 2010 fast approaches. Along the way, Centre community members are encouraged to comment, argue, debate, share, and draw others into the discussion! The list is being published on the Alumni Office's blog, The Flame Run, with updates and teasers published on Twitter (@CentreAlumni) and on the College's official Facebook page. (Twitter users can use the hashtag #Centre10.) The Alumni Office encourages alums, students and other Centre community members to get online and make suggestions for the list! For a taste of what's on the list: at No. 6 is the creation of the annual RICE symposium, an academic conference for students to showcase experiential learning opportunities. At No. 9 is the creation of the Honor Walk in 2003, which gives students an opportunity to reflect on the role others have played in creating their college experience and to publicly recognize those individuals. Get on The Flame Run blog, Twitter and Facebook to see the other events and what will make the top five and, of course, the much-anticipated No. 1 Centre event of the past decade!
