Centre to host first two rounds of NCAA tourney: remaining tickets on sale today

DANVILLE, KYTickets for Saturday's game will go on sale around 7:30 p.m. tonight, following the first game. Tickets will go on sale again Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The ticket sales will be on the second level of Sutcliffe Hall.

There will be a live webcast of all three games. Viewers will be asked to create an account with Penn Atlantic. This account is free, and there is no charge to watch all the games. To create an account to watch the games, click here.

The games will also be broadcast on the College Cable channel 35.

The No. 16-ranked Centre College men's basketball team won the 2009 SCAC Championship by defeating Southwestern 72-67 on Sunday, March 1, in Conway, Ark. The Colonels have now won the SCAC Tournament in two of the last three years.

With the win, the Colonels improve to 23-4 overall, along with having won eight straight games. The last time Centre won the SCAC Tournament Championship was during the 2006-07 season.

NCAA Tournament at Centre

Centre College will host rounds one and two of the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament Friday and Saturday, March 6-7. Centre will host Averett, Transylvania and Guilford. The action this Friday begins at 6 p.m., as the Colonels take on Averett. Transylvania and Guilford play at 8 p.m.

Centre Students: Student tickets will be dispersed Wednesday, March 4, starting at 5:30 a.m. at the entrance of Sutcliffe Hall. Only one ticket per person with a valid Centre ID. No substitutes will be accepted.

General Admission General admission tickets will be sold Wednesday, March 4 starting at 6 p.m. on the second level of Sutcliffe Hall. Tickets are $6 each with a limit of two per person.

Note: Centre alumni tickets are sold out. Alums wishing to purchase tickets may purchase the general admission tickets on Wednesday. Note: Any tickets turned in by the other schools will go on sale on Friday, March 6 at 2 p.m. on the second level of Sutcliffe Hall.
