Men's basketball team ends season on high note; senior class sets record for wins

DANVILLE, KY
In the first round of the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament, the No. 15-ranked Centre College Colonels lost a thriller to visiting Averett University, 76-71, on Friday, March 6, in Danville.

 

Despite the loss to Averett, the 2008-09 season was a success for the Centre men's basketball team. Centre posted its third straight 20-plus win season and won its second SCAC Tournament Championship in three years.

In addition, this year's senior class had more wins, 93, than any other class in Centre basketball history.
