ATTENTION: Updated campus weather information

RELEASED: February 3, 2009 —5 p.m.

DANVILLE, KYCentre College community members: Centre's Department of Public Safety would like to share the following updated information regarding the effects of the recent snow/ice storm on campus:

Classes will begin as normal on Wednesday, Feb. 4.

All main buildings on Centre’s campus—including buildings/residences on St. Mildred's Court and Fifth Street—now have electricity and heat.

We are no longer under a boil water advisory. Water is once again safe for normal consumption.

At 5 p.m. today (Tues. Feb. 3) all three campus dining locations will resume regular hours.

Centre community members who are able to volunteer their time and/or supplies, please try one of the following numbers and someone will direct you to where help is needed the most in the community: 324-2048; 324-2049; 324-2050; 324-2051.

The DPS help number (236-4357) is operational for emergencies.

Use caution if you must go out. Falling tree limbs remain extremely hazardous. Exercise caution when traveling and avoid walking near trees.
