New Centre Commitment video launches on YouTube RELEASED: March 5, 2009
DANVILLE, KY—Centre College has posted another video to YouTube: The Centre Channel. The video, titled "What is the Centre Commitment?" focuses on the College's guarantee that any student who meets the College's social and academic requirements will have an internship, study abroad and graduate in four years. In the event a student is unable to realize the promises of the Centre Commitment within four consecutive years of enrollment, the College will provide up to an additional year of study tuition-free. "For me, the Centre Commitment was the deciding factor in choosing a college," says Adam Brown '07, who now produces Centre's TV commercials and web videos. "So when it came time to begin work on a new Centre video, I went back to the basics. What did Centre have that no one else did?" The video draws on the talents of Vanna Milligan '09, Jeff Hortillosa '09, Hunter Hayes '10, Alwyn McLeod '11, Kristen Robinson '09 and Sarah Hargis '10, who spell out the terms of the Centre Commitment in a fresh and lighthearted manner. The video will be used in upcoming recruitment projects, but its impact will also be measured by how it spreads virally. As with any of the College's video content, the Centre community is encouraged to share links with friends, comment on videos, rate, and subscribe to The Centre Channel's content.
