Community Appreciation Night, Sept. 12: Free football and soccer game admission
RELEASED: September 3, 2009 By Abby Malik
Free light refreshments will be offered beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Sutcliffe Hall's lawn. The rain location for refreshments is inside Sutcliffe Hall. This summer, Farris Stadium, home to the Colonel football team, was updated with new artificial field turf. Last year, due to a generous donation, lights were installed at Farris Stadium, allowing the Colonels to begin playing games at night last season. In addition, beginning last year, the first home football game of the season is designated "Football Alumni Night," in which a particular Centre team is honored. Last year, Centre honored the College's first CAC championship team. This year, the 1984 CAC champs will be honored during the 25th anniversary of their championship season. The team will be honored during halftime of the game. Click here for a preview of the 2009 football team and upcoming season. Click for a preview of the 2009 men's and women's soccer teams.
