Human Performance in Extreme Environments: Ethnicity and Disease
Monday, April 13, 7 p.m., Vahlkamp Theatre

Wilson Fellow Dr. Warren Lockette, a medical officer, scientist and special advisor to the U.S. Navy's top SEAL command, will speak on this intriguing topic. He is currently adjunct professor of medicine at the University of California, San Diego; professor of neurosurgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit; and medical officer in the Naval Special Warfare Command in San Diego. His research interests include human performance in extreme environments, hypertension, bone health, osteoporosis and sports medicine.

This three-act play by George Bernard Shaw, directed by Tony Haigh, professor of dramatic arts, explores the disillusionment of a Salvation Army officer when her Christian denomination accepts money from an arms manufacturer and a whisky distiller.

Life in the DEA and the Real Truth on Illegal Drugs
Wednesday, April 29, 7:30 p.m. Vahlkamp Theatre

Robert Stutman, a 25-year veteran of the Drug Enforcement Administration, shares his experiences with the DEA—including five years undercover—and talks candidly about the effects of illegal street drugs.
