Keith Dunn named associate dean

DANVILLE, KY—Dr. Keith Dunn, professor of chemistry, has been named associate dean for academic affairs. His term will begin this summer and continue through the summer of 2012.

"Keith comes to the office of associate dean with excellent experience as a division chair," say Stephanie Fabritius, vice president for academic affairs, dean of the college and professor of biology. "Keith has distinguished himself as a teacher and scholar."

Dunn is also the Project Shepherd for the new science addition; a member of the Curriculum and Academic Standards Committee, the Faculty Development Committee, the Faculty Steering Committee; and a member of additional committees and project groups. In addition to these activities, in the summer of 2008 he attended the Project Kaleidoscope Leadership Institute in Colorado, a colloquia on undergraduate facilities for science and mathematics.

Dunn will replace Dr. Nayef Samhat, Hower Associate Professor of Government
and International Studies and associate dean, who will assume the position of provost at Kenyon College. Samhat will continue as associate dean through June 2009.
