My CENTRE Lifers reflect on their breaks, CentreTerm in entry #8

DANVILLE, KY—Fall term is now a memory, and the My CENTRE Lifers open a new chapter on their first year of college. Their accounts range from the task of completing finals to Patrick and his CentreTerm class chasing Dr. Amos Tubb, assistant professor of history, across campus with a foam bat! (He explains here.)

Andrew emerged from fall term victorious, only to hibernate through the majority of his break. Looking back, the whole experience of finals was a surreal adventure that was just as stressful as it was rewarding. Now, fresh-faced after his long winter's nap, Andrew is looking toward the future with a few resolutions to guide him. To learn what they are, click here.

Chel is—in a word—cold. Just after thawing out in the summer sun of Brazil, she returns to Centre and the wintery winds of Kentucky. Laura is learning to be more specific when she mentions "home." These days, Centre seems more like home than Georgia. "Who would've thought that after my first night at home, I actually missed my bed at Centre?" she asks. Tess has hit CentreTerm head on. Three weeks of only one class…easy, right? That's what Tess thought until she realized the sheer number of tasks she would need to complete in that amount of time: "…three short papers, one long paper, one in-class report, and a final…all covering two complete novels and a short story."
