The Broadway hits keep coming to Norton Center

RELEASED: March 26, 2009

DANVILLE, KYThe Tony Award-winning Broadway musical The Drowsy Chaperone will make its Norton Center for the Arts debut on Thursday, April 2 at 8 p.m.

When a die-hard musical fan plays his favorite cast album, a 1928 smash hit called The Drowsy Chaperone, the show magically bursts to life in his living room. Audiences are instantly immersed in the glamorous, hilarious tale of a celebrity bride on her uproarious wedding day, complete with thrills and surprises that take both the cast (literally) and the audience (metaphorically) soaring into the rafters.

The Drowsy Chaperone received more Tony Awards than any other musical of the 2006 season with a cast of characters that includes the bride-to-be, a pampered Broadway starlet, her producer who sets out to sabotage the nuptials, her chaperone, the debonair groom, the Latin lover and a pair of gagsters who double as pastry chefs.
