Alumni: Ranked first in the nation in rate of alumni giving (65.2% giving rate in 1998-99). Famous alumni range from U.S. Vice President Adlai Stevenson to Hard Rock Cafe founder Isaac Tigrett to contemporary playwright Mary Hall Surface.
Athletics: 19 varsity sports in the NCAA Division III (nine men's teams; 10 women's teams).
Overseas: study Among top ten U.S. schools in the study-abroad rate (approx. 65% of Centre seniors have studied abroad) Residential programs in England, France, Mexico; exchange program in Japan. Multiple short-term trips each year; recent destinations have included Vietnam, Japan, Africa, Greece, Italy, San Salvador Island, and India.
