The Children's Campaign

School children and teens from Central Kentucky made their voices heard when Centre College applied to host a debate this year. With the encouragement of teachers, principals, and parents, more than 200 students wrote letters, drew pictures, and even recorded a song to send to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The students came from grades K through 12 in the Danville Independent Schools, the Boyle County Schools, and the Kentucky School for the Deaf. Their letters reflected an interest in politics and a passion for their hometown. To see examples of their creativity, click on list at left.
