As part of ceremonies celebrating the installation of Centre's 20th president, John A. Roush, three time capsules were buried on May 10, 1999 in front of the Norton Center for the Arts. Among the items buried were a recorded message from the Class of 1999 to the Class of 2050, the results of the Centre 100, and various items representing the three academic divisions of the College. The time capsules will be unearthed as part of Homecoming activities in October 2050.
