Tea Time

Centre students in Maryanne Ward’s Jane Austen seminar recently went to tea at the Elmwood Inn in Perryville. Each participant was assigned a character from one of Austen’s early 19th-century novels of about the life of the British rural gentry, and the teatime conversation revolved around gossip and other discussions from an Austen point of view.
