Sunset

Second Lieutenant Joe Bayless ’04 stands against the Iraqi sunset in Balad, Iraq at camp Anaconda. Bayless is part of the 289th Quartermaster Company out of Fort Hood, Texas. He is the OIC (officer in charge) for the Corps Distribution Center at Anaconda, which receives all food, water, and repair parts that come into Iraq.
“It’s a big operation, critical to this theatre,” Bayless says. “I thought I would send a photo and say my years at Centre equipped me with a vast conceptual arsenal to handle any problems that have come up during my deployment. Just as important, I have many fond memories that I reflect on often. Have a happy holiday.”
