Ahmed Eddhir is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at Centre College. Before joining Centre, he taught at Wofford College.
Dr. Eddhir’s teaching interests span a wide range of courses, including Introduction to Economics, Microeconomic Analysis, Behavioral Economics, Econometrics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, Business and Economics Statistics, and Business and Economics Mathematics.
His research focuses on industrial organization, particularly the dynamics of online markets like eBay auctions. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Clemson University and a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Tripoli. Dr. Eddhir was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to pursue his graduate studies in economics.
Committed to active and engaging teaching methods, Dr. Eddhir leverages his interdisciplinary background to enhance both his teaching and research. He has presented his work at numerous conferences and is actively involved in several professional economic associations. He also holds a certificate in Effective Online Teaching Practice (EOTP) from the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE).
