BIOGRAPHY
Anthony and his wife Andrea became the first executive directors of CentreWorks in 2020. CentreWorks facilitates collaboration between members of Centre’s campus community and the broader Danville and Boyle County region, combining their creativity, expertise, and experience to study and resolve complex problems, start new businesses, make connections, practice skills, develop knowledge and hone leadership.
Anthony Margida’s 30-year career in innovation has focused on developing/commercializing new technologies and the creation of companies spanning the specialty chemical, advanced material, cleantech/energy, IT, medical device, and food/agriculture industries. As Director of Technology at HB Fuller, he led the development and global commercialization of a water-based footwear adhesive offering an alternative to a highly abused toluene-based staple. His Magnetorheological Fluid (MR) patents are widely cited and are core to GM’s Magneride suspensions on over one million vehicles.
