BIOGRAPHY
Mae Scott, assistant professor of physics, joined Centre in 2023. She received a B.S. in physics and mathematics from Tulane University and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Scott's research focuses on high precision measurements of fundamental physics using low energy neutrons. She is a member of the Beam Lifetime 3 (BL3) collaboration and works on development of charged particle thermal kinetic inductance detectors (CP-TKIDs) with the Neutron Physics and Quantum Sensors groups at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). She regularly works with undergraduates in her research and encourages interested Centre students to reach out for more information.
