BA in History and Classical Languages from The College of Wooster
MA & PhD in American History from the University of South Carolina.
BIOGRAPHY
Tara Strauch joined Centre’s faculty in 2015. She is associate professor of history, and was named a Centre Scholar in 2021.
Tara teaches classes on Early American History from the colonial period to the Civil War. She also teaches courses on history and science fiction, the history of American holidays, and American Girl dolls.
Tara is currently writing a book on the history of American holidays titled Patriotic Tetanus: A History of American Holidays and the People Who Made Them along with her publications in Church History and edited collections.
