CentreEngage

Find volunteer opportunities and other activities in our network. CentreEngage is a space for volunteers to be in community with local nonprofits and other volunteers that want to make a difference through service and philanthropy. Track your hours, donations, or impacts, and verify your engagement.

Democratic Engagement

Civic learning and democratic engagement have been a deep part of Centre’s history since our founding in 1819. Centre students and alumni consistently leave a profound impact at the local, state, national, and international levels. The Office of Civic & Community Engagement offers nonpartisan voter support and organizes civic engagement programs that help you be more democratically engaged during your four years.

Voter Registration & Support

We support new & experienced voters alike, helping students register to vote, request absentee ballots, understand updates in election laws, remember important deadlines, vote from abroad, and get to the polls in-person. Contact communityengagement@centre.edu for nonpartisan voting assistance.

"Citizen Power Tools" Event Series

Civic engagement does not start and end with voting. Learn how to be a full participant in democracy with our “Citizen Power Tools” workshop series. Past events have included:

  • Letter Writing Workshops
  • Alternative Break Trips to the state capitol in Frankfort
  • Deliberative Dialogue
  • Debate Watch Parties
  • Convocations

Civic Engagement Interns

The Office of Civic & Community Engagement works closely with a team of three students who are passionate about voter education and support. Students who are interested in learning more about becoming a Civic Engagement Intern can contact communityengagement@centre.edu.
