FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No. Centre guarantees housing for all first-year students, so if you submit your enrollment form & deposit, we’ll save your spot! We send housing information and roommate surveys in mid-May to the students who enroll in the incoming class. Click here for more information on residence life at Centre, including photos of residence halls (interior and exterior).
Please contact your admission counselor! Or, complete this short form and we’ll connect you. We are eager to get you the information you need to make your best possible college choice. Let us know what would be helpful (conversation with a professor, information about career outcomes, chat with a current student, etc.) and we’ll do our best to set it up.
We encourage all students to apply for need-based aid at Centre. You can do so by adding Centre to your FAFSA (code 001961) and submitting a short extra form called the Centre Aid Form. With this information, we’ll see if you’re eligible for additional assistance such as grants, work study, and low-interest loans.
If there are financial circumstances not reflected on your financial aid application that are impacting your ability to pay for college, please complete the Special Circumstances Review Request. If you are able, we suggest you print, scan and email the completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternately, you may put the relevant information in an email to the same address.
Affordability is not always a matter of changing circumstances. If Centre is your first choice, but our cost will make it difficult for you to accept our offer of admission, please contact your admission counselor right away. Your counselor will recommend options that are specific to your unique situation.
Students who have been admitted to Centre who have completed their financial aid paperwork on time can expect to receive their complete financial aid package approximately 4 weeks after receiving their acceptance letter. We release financial aid packages by mail and via CentreNet and you will be notified by email when your financial aid package is available.
As is the case for most colleges and universities, Centre receives more demand for financial aid assistance than we have dollars to allocate. In order to be good stewards of Centre’s resources, and out of fairness to all financial aid applicants, it is our policy to make the most generous financial aid award we can the first time around. That said, we understand that each family’s financial situation is different and sometimes we need more information than what is provided in the financial aid application to make a proper award. If you/your family are experiencing an out-of-the-ordinary circumstance such as loss of income, divorce, medical debt or other unexpected financial expenses, please contact your admission counselor. Your Centre admission counselor is there to answer additional questions and to counsel you through other possible options.
Complete our candidate’s reply form and tell us what you’ve decided. We certainly hope you’re choosing Centre, but if not, we would appreciate knowing the lucky institution you’ve chosen to attend.
June 1 – Centre has chosen to move our Candidate’s Reply Date from May 1 to June 1. While there is no guarantee this will allow for a final visit to campus, we hope the extra time will be helpful to families who find their circumstances and priorities changing.
