Centre President John Roush urges Kentucky to make higher education a top priority

BOT Headshots 2014“Keeping the system of higher education strong and vibrant is crucial to our future as a state, but getting better, stronger and faster requires a very intentional commitment by a team of key players,” writes Centre College President John Roush in a recent op-ed in the Lexington Herald-Leader. According to Roush, while Kentucky’s colleges and universities set the standard for preparing graduates for lives of leadership and service, future success can only be attained by continuing support for higher education.
“Guaranteeing support for higher education is in our mutual interest and crucial to the commonwealth’s long-term welfare,” says Roush. “I would go even further to say that education is the best investment in the promise of a brighter future.”
