Centre’s Richard Trollinger elected EDP chairman

Richard Trollinger, vice president for college relations at Centre College, was elected chairman of the Danville-Boyle County Economic Development Partnership board of directors Wednesday.
Trollinger, who has served on the board since 2009, replaces John Albright. Albright, president of Caldwell Stone Company, served as chairman of the EDP for two years and continues to serve as chairman of the Boyle County Industrial Foundation.

“I have enjoyed serving on the EDP board for the past several years and am honored to be elected its chairman,” Trollinger said in a statement.
“One of the many great things about living in this community is the opportunity one has to be associated with people who are committed to making life better here. That is what the EDP is all about, of course. It’s better here — as our tag line says — because so many capable and caring people, both the professional staff of the EDP member organizations and its volunteer leadership, work to make it so.”
