If you would like to have an open flame on the Centre Campus here is where you register. This primarily is use of the firepits and grills around campus, but could include tiki torches and even candles.

Completion of this form only registers the use of open flame at the location below. To reserve/register the location space you must do so through the Event Center.

CENTRE COLLEGE EXPECTS STUDENTS TO KNOW AND OBSERVE ALL STATE AND LOCAL LAWS PERTAINING TO OPEN FIRES.

UPON SUBMITTING THIS REGISTRATION FORM, WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ALL THE REGULATIONS IN THE STUDENT HANDBOOK PERTAINING TO OPEN FIRES ARE UNDERSTOOD AND THAT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ACTIVITY AND THE CONDUCT OF ALL PARTICIPANTS, INCLUDING GUESTS IS ACCEPTED BY OURSELVES AND OUR ORGANIZATIONS.

IT IS EXPECTED AND UNDERSTOOD THAT ALL OPEN FIRES AT CENTRE WILL ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

1. There will be someone in attendance at all times.
2. If other than in a fireplace, the location will be at least ten feet from any building.
3. There will be an extinguisher in the vicinity of the fire.
4. That the fire will be completely extinguished when it is no longer being used.
5. Fires are only permitted at times prior to midnight.

WE FURTHER UNDERSTAND THAT WE ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CLEANING OF ANY NECESSARY FACILITY AFTER THE EVENT AS WELL AS PAYMENT FOR ANY REPAIRS FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT MAY OCCUR. OUR ORGANIZATION WILL BE BILLED FOR THE COST OF ADDITIONAL CLEANING OR REPAIR TO ANY FACILITY WHICH RESULT FROM THE SCHEDULED EVENT. THE BREAKING OF THIS AGREEMENT WILL RESULT IN THE REVOCATION OF PRIVILEGES TO SEEK FUTURE PERMISSION TO HAVE OPEN FIRES. SUCH ACTION MAY RESULT IN SANCTIONS AGAINST OFFENDING INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS.

A $100 dollar fine will be assigned if the firepit or surrounding area is left in a poor condition.
