Honor Walk

Honor Walk

Honor Walk is one of Centre College’s most meaningful Commencement traditions, offering graduating seniors an opportunity to pause, reflect, and express gratitude to those who shaped their Centre journey. Held on Commencement Eve, the ceremony symbolizes both an ending and a beginning as seniors walk through Old Centre — the historic building that has stood at the heart of the College for generations.

After passing through Old Centre's doors, graduates pause at the College seal to present a symbolic token to the individual they wish to honor for making a profound impact on their Centre Experience. While each graduate’s achievements are uniquely their own, Honor Walk serves as a reminder that every Centre story is strengthened by the people who walked beside them, making Commencement not only a celebration of accomplishment but also one of gratitude.
