Jeffrey L. Mackin joins Centre College Board of Trustees

Jeff Mackin HeadshotJeffrey Mackin of Prospect, Ky., was inducted as a member of the Centre College Board of Trustees during the College’s annual winter meeting in Louisville, held this year on Saturday, Feb. 1.
Mackin is the president of Interlock Industries Inc., a family-owned business headquartered in Louisville, and chair of its subsidiaries. Interlock conducts business worldwide, currently employs 3,500 people, has over 23 manufacturing facilities in 20 different states and represents four different industries. He joined Interlock in 1990 as corporate counsel and previously served in various roles for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, including a term as prosecuting attorney.
Prior to his appointment to the Board of Trustees, Mackin served on Centre’s President’s Advisory Council. He is also active as a board member of Maryhurst, a nationally recognized organization that provides support and services for Kentucky children who have been abused.
A 1983 graduate of Centre College with a B.A. in economics, he earned his J.D. degree at the University of Dayton School of Law.
Mackin and his wife, Kim, are the parents of two daughters. The eldest, Katherine, is a junior at Centre.
