Kentucky Monthly magazine features Centre alumni

This month’s issue of Kentucky Monthly magazine easily could have been renamed Centre College Monthly, thanks to the wealth of Centre alumni featured.
One story covered Matthew Cummings ’05 and his Pretentious Beer Glass Company, which has origins in H.W. Stodghill, Jr. and Adele H. Stodghill Professor of Art Stephen Rolfe Powell’s glassblowing studio; even the feature itself was written by Centre College alumna Laura Coleman Pritchard ’05. Full story here.
Second in the lineup was a feature story on Sundy Best, a fast-rising country music duo taking over stages and CMT countdowns nationwide. The two musicians, Nick Jamerson and Kris Bentley ’09, just released a new album, “Bring up the Sun,” a much-anticipated release. Full story here.
Alumnus Ed Diddle ’21, a highly talented member of Centre’s first basketball team and an all-time winningest basketball coach at Western Kentucky University, was mentioned in an article about Frank Selvey, who scored 100 points in a basketball game for Furman University.
